The government has, this week, launched a review into the regulation of crowdfunding in Australia. Currently crowdfunding is prohibited by Australian regulations.
The review follows a similar review in the US which led to a change in the regulations and has allowed crowdfunders like Kickstarter to flourish.
The review announced this week by the government is scheduled to have an outcome before the end of the year.
